Review:
I have literally been waiting an entire year for this album to be released in the United States and now the release is finally here! The first time I heard “From the Woods” on an episode of Grey’s Anatomy I was immediately transfixed by the voice of Mr. McMorrow, easily one of the most distinctive and haunting voices I have heard in quite some time. McMorrow’s music is very similar to that of Bon Iver and Iron & Wine, so fans acquainted with those artists should have no problem in welcoming this music to their libraries. In my opinion, James shines best when it is just him and his guitar, like on “Hear the Noise” and “Follow You Down”, as well as the not one but two bonus tracks.
If you’ve read this far you should just know that you should hit “Buy Album” right about now. It will be one of the best music purchases you make this year…
