后摇滚是指将电子音乐加入旧式摇滚，形成了一种新的、更为轻松自由的音乐表达风格。后摇滚拒绝（或者说是推翻）了一切与传统摇滚相关的元素。相对于旋律以及歌曲的结构，后摇滚乐更注重一种干净流畅的音乐表达。后摇滚风格于1990年代初正式形成，该风格的音乐通常会借助乐器使其整体效果锦上添花。Explosions正是后摇滚风格中有影响力的一个著名乐队，Explosions in the Sky是其具有代表性的作品，风靡世界。
